"I've been sailing on the seven seas, but Northern Spain has been my home since 2018. Getxo offers basically everything; we just have to appreciate and promote it the right way. The ICG bridges the world of existing culture and new arrivals, as well as expats.

If I am not enjoying the great outdoors, I deal with real estate, renewables, and hydrogen. I have a desire for self-determination and freedom. Being a proud daddy of a Bilbaino motivates me to stay forever, build new things, and have a positive impact on our community."

"I was born in The Netherlands and raised with an international mindset, travelling the world and moving around European countries for work. I´ve worked for most of my career as a finance manager in multinational companies, but I am now starting to chase my dream: to build my own business in the tourism industry.

My wife is a local from Getxo. We have three small kids and four languages to keep our home always interesting and fun! While love and family brought me to live here, the beauty of this place and the fantastic quality of life made us settle and stay here!"

I enjoy learning new hobbies, music, art and improving my surroundings. I am very social, great at solving problems with creativity, and love spending time with my family.

"I moved to Getxo when I was five, and it has been my home ever since. I have always loved travelling and discovering new cultures. Living for several years in London and Ireland gave me an even broader perspective on international connections. I enjoy sharing special moments with friends and family, and the sea is where I feel most at home.

"I was born in Zarautz and spent part of my childhood in Brazil, so feeling at home among different cultures has always been part of who I am. After studying Law and Economics at the University of Deusto, my career led me through a range of international experiences — from corporate and consulting roles to creating ventures that connect sustainability, innovation, and impact. Each chapter has deepened my belief in the power of collaboration and community across borders.

"I am a French architectural designer who worked on educational and residential building projects, as well as online publishing, advocacy and sustainability. I studied in Spain, and before moving to the Basque Country with my husband, I spent nine years living in New Zealand.

Our love of the ocean and keen interest in Basque culture brought us to the region in 2024, and we have lived in Getxo ever since. I love its vibrancy, accessibility, sophistication and proximity to nature. Having moved to various places over the years, I am interested in community activation and developing mediums such as the ICG that enable people who start from zero to create meaningful relationships within their local surroundings."
